So today was the Code Mastery event in Chicago that I had linked to previously (hosted by Magenic at the Microsoft offices downtown). My session was on “Effective Design for Mobile Apps” and as promised I am now uploading my PowerPoint deck for general use:

I had the pleasure of speaking this past Wednesday at the Code Mastery event in Chicago (hosted by Magenic at the Microsoft building in Lombard). My session was Designer and Developer Collaboration with Visual Studio 2012 and Expression Blend, though to be fair I never actually opened VS2012 during the demo

We covered a slide deck outlining how I often see designer/developer interaction happening versus the collaboration style environment I have spent the last several years proving actually works as well as two demos: updating the UI layer of developer code created in the previous WinRT session and a showcase of the new Blend5 features specific to .js WinRT apps.
